M. Bison In Flatbush

M. Bison by Flatbush Zombies is a dope song.It’s a turn up song inspiring people to focus on their destiny in the hook. In their new album, Vacation In Hell, the Zombies deliver very loaded lyrics that in my opinion, reflect the ruthlessness of the the character M. Bison of the classic Street Fighter series. That’s what’s its all about. I feel motivated, energetic, and determined to win when this song comes on. I had to design something that reflected my mental image of M. Bison with his sinister toothy grin, waiting to pummel you with crushing blows as he continues toward world domination as the leader of the Shadaloo crime syndicate.

To bring my mental image to life, I found an image of M. Bison I really liked. After opening it in Photoshop, I copied the background twice. On the first copy, I added a purple color filter and a motion to the image. On the second copy, I added an orange color filter with a flame overlay. I moved one image slightly to the left, and one slightly to the right, to add a retro 3D effect, text, and logos.

I felt like the motion blur and retro 3D effect made the image look more chaotic, while the color filters complemented the colors in his hands, and uniform, while maintaining the hot, powerful aura look. This was a project I had on my mind for a bit. I feel good about how it turned out.
