Skullcandy SESH EVO Bluetooth earbuds Review

Cost/Sound Quality/Bluetooth Connection/Comfort/Ease of Use/Battery Life

It seems like we’re always shopping for a reliable pair of comfortable earbuds these days. There aren’t too many options with the lack of headphones on sale recently. However, Skullcandy has tons of options that can fit your every need. Which is why I keep going back. I have my trusty on-ear headphones that can use the jack or go Bluetooth, which I’ve had for years, and I recently purchased the SESH EVO as my mobile earbuds, and I’m honestly kind of addicted.

I put them on the first time and forgot them in. Watching YouTube, messing around in apps, and trying out all the controls, and I didn’t realize how comfortable they were. They’re easy to handle as well because of the ergonomic design that fits the shape of most ears.

Most times when you think of Bluetooth earbuds, you might assume there are touch controls involved as well. Not here, and it works better. Think about how many times touch controls malfunction because it didn’t read your finger, or it was too cold out to register heat or something. With actual button controls, the SESH EVO is pretty easy to handle.

The sounds coming out of the SESH EVO are what you should expect from Skullcandy and the brand. Deep, rich bass, with range and quality. All levels are nice even at max volume. Ambient noise is reduced significantly with a snug fit. Calls sound great, however, the other person may have a little trouble hearing you sometimes so do try not to mumble. Also, these things have a built-in equalizer! So, feel free to adjust the sound to fit your ears.

The Bluetooth connection here is solid. It connects to my phone almost as soon as I put them in my ears. The Bluetooth range is nice! I walked all the way into a pizza spot, forgot my phone in the car, and continued the whole conversation without any hiccups. The SESH EVO work independently of each other, which, I didn’t think was a big deal until I needed one ear free, and I couldn’t continue a call with the one earbud in. which sucked and took me away from a photoshoot. So having independent use here means you can have one in while the other one charges, doubling your battery life.

Speaking of battery life, they boast a 24-hour battery, however, I’m here to tell you that they last even longer. I can be listening to these all day, charge them in the case may be two more times and they are good. I think they have lasted a good 7 days without charge on multiple occasions.

For all those features, custom colors and themes, and a reliable product, all I paid was roughly $40. For a device that looks and functions so well, I would’ve expected to pay a lot more. You even get a 2-year standard warranty with these. And if you think Skullcandy won’t give you a product of equal or lesser value, think again! I’ve had to use my warranty on multiple occasions, and they have come through without hassle every time. So I’ll definitely be looking to Skullcandy when it's time to get something new.

The SESH EVO is currently my favorite pair of Bluetooth earbuds. With custom designs and quality features, Skullcandy continues to deliver unique designs and quality features, not just a one size fits all solution. This product earns 5 ½ full moons out of 6. My main concern for improvement would be to improve the microphone. There were too many times where The person on the other end of the phone could not make out my voice in the background. Still, these easily fit in your pocket and allow for one of the best mobile Bluetooth experiences.
